THOMAS W. WEIK Tom Weik founded Weik Investment in 1987 and has supervised the firm's investment work since that time. His responsibilities include equity research and portfolio management. Tom has served investors for more than 30 years. After he graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 1964, Tom engaged in graduate work at Roosevelt University and a doctoral program at the Illinois Institute of Technology. His education was interrupted by the Vietnam War when he was called to duty and served for four years as a staff officer at Headquarters Tactical Air Command, United States Air Force. Prior to founding Weik Investment, Tom provided investment advice and related brokerage services for 13 years as a Vice President and registered representative with Butcher & Singer, Inc., and then as Vice President and financial consultant with Shearson Lehman Brothers. In 1985, he joined Connors Investor Services, Inc., serving as Vice President with overall supervisory responsibility for client portfolios and playing a major role in the firm's equity research and portfolio management. Tom is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia and the Berks County Estate Planning Council. He has written investment columns for two Pennsylvania newspapers. Tom is a trustee emeritus of Albright College having served the college as a trustee from 1994 through 2007 and as the Chairman of the Investment Committee for more than ten years. Tom chairs the Trust Committee at the Foundation for the Reading Public Museum and serves on the board of directors for the World Affairs Council of Greater Reading. FELIPE F. GARCIA, CFA Felipe Garcia joined Weik Investment in June, 2004 after earning his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Felipe holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. His primary responsibility is equity research and analysis. Felipe is a co-manager of WIS SMALL-CAP PARTNERS and WIS GROWTH PARTNERS and also participates in the management of private portfolios. Prior to attending Wharton, he was employed by i2 Technologies, a supply-chain management software company. During his three and a half years at i2, Felipe worked as an applications engineer with responsibilities for the implementation of i2's demand planning software solutions. His previous experience also included an engagement at Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Services in Marietta, GA. LAURA A. NOVAK Laura Novak joined Weik Investment in 1998 after serving for several years in the financial planning, securities brokerage, and mutual fund industries. In March 2001, she joined the investment team as an Assistant Portfolio Manager, participating in the firm's research and portfolio management process. In 2007, Laura took on the additional role of Chief Compliance Officer of the firm. She is also responsible for the firm's equity trading and daily operations. SARAH C. SKILLMAN Sarah joined the Weik Investment staff in July, 2006, having previously been employed as an intern at Weik Investment during the completion of her senior year at Albright College. She plays a significant role in our portfolio management. Sarah's responsibilities also include fixed-income research and trading, as well as serving as our Assistant Operations Manager. In May 2006, Sarah graduated cum laude from Albright College where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and majored in accounting, economics, and finance. While pursuing her studies as an undergraduate, she served as president of her sorority as well as an Admissions Ambassador. Sarah is the Treasurer of Phi Delta Sigma, an honorary alumnae sorority at Albright. Sarah also serves as the finance advisor for the Alpha Delta Pi chapter of
ROBERT C. KLINE Bob Kline joined the firm in 1990 with over forty years of broad investment experience. He is currently engaged in fixed-income research and portfolio management on a part-time basis. Prior to joining Weik Investment, he served as Senior Vice President and Bank Economist for Meridian Bancorp, Inc., managing the bank's investment and economic departments. During his 14 years at Meridian, his responsibilities included developing and implementing fixed income investment strategies, forecasting interest rates and the economy, strategic planning, supervising customer securities, and serving on key management committees. Prior to joining Meridian, Bob was with Continental Bank from 1965 to 1975, heading the Trust Investment Department, Stock Transfer Department, and bank dividend reinvestment program. Bob graduated in 1958 from Dickinson College, where he majored in economics. He also completed a two-year executive training program at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and various graduate courses at the Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania. Bob has served as a director of Historic Yellow Springs, Inc. for over 15 years. He is also on the board of the Great Valley Nature Center and sits on the Audit Committee of
ABHISHEK AMATYA Abhi joined Weik Investment in January, 2009 after serving as an intern to the investment team. Abhi assists the team with monitoring the prices of financial securities as well as reviewing breaking news on companies and markets of interest to our analysts and portfolio managers. He also assists with special projects involving fundamental investment research. Abhi graduated cum laude from Albright College in December 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Management. He was a Dean's List student while pursuing his degree at Albright. He is a member of the Albright College Dearden Honor Society in the department of Economics. While at Albright, Abhi was an active member of the Student Government Association, representing the international student community. KENNETH W. WEIK Ken joined Weik Investment in January, 2007 to assist the investment team with its research effort. He is responsible for our information technology platform and the continuous improvement of our information system. BELINDA E. RUFFNER Billie joined Weik Investment in August, 2005 after graduating magna cum laude with an A.A.S. degree in Accounting from Reading Area Community College. KOHARCHECK Jill joined Weik Investment in March 2008 following 20 years of employment with Penske Truck Leasing where she progressed through the roles of Billing Clerk, Customer Service Representative, Compliance Services Supervisor, and most recently, Senior Billing Analyst. She is a graduate of Pace Institute with a certificate in Computer Technology and attended Alvernia College majoring in Business Administration. THOMAS JOHNSON, JR. Tom joined our staff in March, 1995 and consults with us on marketing and business practices on a part-time basis. Previously, he was co-founder and President of Physician Support Systems, a medical billing organization for hospital-based physicians.
